As I understand it, most mothers are emotional when their child goes to their first day of school. I guess I'm just not like most mothers. I observed him from behind a two-way mirror for about 20 minutes with Ambrogio. Gaetano has become used to playing alone, and so he would wander away from the group to do his own thing quite a bit in those 20 minutes. I'm told he got better as the day passed.
Gaetano painted his first masterpiece today too. Soon as I can find time to fuss with my scanner I'll add it to the Artwork photo gallery.

Don't worry too much about him playing alone.. his age group tends to mind their own.. once he gets a couple of years older he'll be chasin' the girls & they will be chasin' him (so long as neither wants to get caught).
I'm sure he'll adjust quickly. :-) Hopefully he didn't inherit Ambrogio's shyness. So far it doesn't seem he has, but he's always with people he knows. (Ambrogio only socializes well with people once he's been silently/passively socializing with them for a long time.)
Gaetano is already a little ladies' man! He doesn't mind being caught either. Boy am I in for it when he hits dating age... ~Angela
