My Big Fat Greek Life

My Big Fat Greek Life premiered last night and of course, I didn't miss it. Funny and cute, the show is still new and I'm not sure how much I'll really like it in the end. It definitely needs some time to mature, but that's typical of most new comedies I think. In my area it shows on CBS channel 2 on Sunday nights at 8 as its new time. Check your local listings etc., etc., eduksee? (That's a...

Dumb gardner

About 3 months ago I planted some seeds in the planter in front of our house. I can't remember the name of the flowers but they were growing nice and tall and they'd soon be blooming in a few more weeks. We've had a really difficult time growing things in this planter and finally flowers were growing. My husband hired a gardner to pull weeds on the sides of our home and told him not to touch the...

Bookstore visit

Last night I went shopping with a friend and while we were out we decided to stop in at Borders book store. Believe it or not, I hadn't been to a bookstore since Dreamweaver MX Killer Tips was released. I wanted to see if Borders had it in stock since I heard they're cutting back on carrying computer books and may not get in much new in way of books released after Christmas. Well, great news......

Seeing red

Such a proud mommy moment that I must share... Gaetano came up to me with a plastic bundle of baloons from his 1st birthday cake. He pointed to one and said "That's red" and he was right! Then he did each color in the bundle successfully. Colors are something I haven't really worked with him that much on --least not as much as I should. So I'm pleasantly surprised that he's caught on so...

Excuses

My how time flies; it has been nearly a week since I posted. Well let's see... I've been building extensions for an upcoming product from a new company. Learning tons through this experience and finding that I really enjoy extension development. As complicated as things get and as frustrating as bug fixing can be, when I create something challenging that works I get such an awesome rush out of...

I'm sick...

Yes, I caught Gaetano's cold. My throat hurts... Gatano says, Mama no work. Mama sit. Mama sick. Hugs? So I'm going to do as he wishes and take the night off until his daddy comes home. I want my mommy :-(. She made me cookies and I ate all of them already... Mom's bringing more tomorrow. I love mom.

Gaetano's sick

After giving Gaetano his cough medicine last night, he started coughing more (as expected). However the poor little guy was not sleeping comfortably, coughing every couple minutes. I decided he needed to sleep semi-upright to allow the drainage to go past his throat so he would cough less. How do you get a 2 yr. old to do this? You can't just prop 'em up on pillows and expect them to stay that...
