Wow, been a month since I posted. I kept meaning to blog but kept putting it off. I do have a lot to mention, and I'll try to post in the next day or so...stay tuned!

Let me just say wow...I just installed the FireFox Web Developer Tools and wow... Have I said wow yet? Here I am in an audio chat with Dan. I install the toolbar at his suggestion. Here's what happened... Me: Disable Domain Cookies, Disable Cookies, Disable Image, Disable Java, Disable JavaScript, Disable Styles...? Wow... Dan: And that's just the first button! Me: I know!!! Does this mean we're...

I really should have blogged about this sooner, I know... I'm going to make an effort to post speaking engagments well in advance, really! :-) Yesterday I gave a Productivity Tips for Dreamweaver MX 2004 session at the SCCFUG Winter Conference in Costa Mesa, CA. Some of the tips were from our book , but some where not. This was the first time I've ever spoken to a purely ColdFusion crowd and it...

As it turns out, I am in fact mildly anemic. I'm starting on Iron therapy which should help. Sure explains why I get tired so easily; I'm relieved it wasn't my thyroid causing tiredness. I've had congestion/sinusits over the last 6 months or so, and so has Gaetano. Finally, my regular doctor saw me while I had symptoms. (Usually he's always booked and I get stuck seeing someone else. He's very...

Back in late October, we launched Cartweaver 2. It has been an incredible few months since. Cartweaver is selling in record numbers, and I couldn't be more excited about it. This version is such a gigantic improvement over Cartweaver 1, and that's no marketing hype either. If you haven't heard of Cartweaver yet, it is a ColdFusion shopping cart and adminstration area built specifically to be...

Preface: Gaetano will oftern refuse an item insisting on having "the other one". He'll cry and whine until he gets it too. Me: Why is it that kids will want another thing that is identical to the one they have, instead of the one they already have? Dan: Cause he's a toddler, and he has micro-difference vision. You lose that around 4 or 5. Conclusion: I think Dan may be right. :-)

Good news; the bone scan came back negative. Bad news is, I still have no idea what's caused the calcification on my ribs and the slew of other recent health problems. I'm scheduled to see the doctor on Friday to discuss what we can do at this point. He's at a loss for ideas at the moment. My big question for him is how concerned I should be about the calcium, and what long term problems can it...

I'm happy to report that I'm about 90% over my cold that I caught from Gaetano. He's about 80% better with a cough and congestion still lingering. At the begining of this month, I had a chest x-ray done because I was experiencing some pain on my right rib cage. When I inhaled it was obvious that my right side was very different. A lump could be felt along my rib cage where it hurt. As it turned...

Those who know me well, know just how much I love sushi. I've said many times, "I wish there were such a thing as sushi delivery". I especially felt this way the past couple of weeks having been unable to drive. Unfortunately right now the budget is ultra-tight and except for the gift certificate for a local sushi place I got for Christmas, I'll not be buying sushi once a week again for...

Gaetano's sick again with a fever. :-( He didn't want to take Tylenol this morning, exclaiming he wanted "purple". So what's a mom to do? Add a drop of blue food color of course! Good thing he didn't want yellow...
