SDCFUG Meeting

Sorry it's taken me so long to blog this folks... Wednesday night was the SDCFUG Meeting and I have to say it went really well once we got started. I had more than my usual projector problems and at the last minute had to borrow Dan's laptop because it had less trouble. (I had to look at the projection rather than my screen to see what I was doing.) Anyhow... Having never seen CFEclipse until 2...

Tomorrow Night - San Diego ColdFusion User Group Meeting

If you're in the Southern California area, I'll be speaking at tomorrow night's San Diego CF User Group meeting. I'll be talking about using Dreamweaver as a ColdFusion developer and Rob Rohan will be speaking about CFEclipse. Don't be shy; be sure to say hello if you attend. Attendees usually go out afterwards, so plan for a nice evening out with fellow geeks! More info: http://www.sdcfug.org/

What do Ram chips taste like?

Gaetano [pointing to some identical objects on my desk]: What is that? Angela: Ram chips. Gaetano: What do they taste like? Angela [holding back laughter]: Those aren't for eating! [grinning] They're for computers. Gaetano: I was only just teasing. [pretending to eat one and chew it] Ow, ow, ow, owie. [he giggles]

Everyone needs a little patience sometimes...

My son was sitting on the floor in my office, playing with a wooden mosaic puzzle (much like this one but with 3 different shapes) while I was having a conversation with someone. Gaetano [mildly frustrated]: I need some patience... Me: Yes you do; you can do it. [A couple minutes later, I begin conversing again.] Gaetano [quite annoyed, almost shouting]: I said , I need some patience! Me: Yes, I...

Dan just thinks he's done...

We've been working on Cartweaver ASP for what seemed like an eternity, and now it is finally available. Dan posted on his blog that he's finally done. Ha, he's too funny. There will be customers to support, add-ons to create and who knows what else... The way I see it, we're never "done". <grin /> Writing a single toolbar to manage multiple Cartweaver server models was no easy...

MAX Presentation Resource Update

Well, it looks like one of the links I provided in my Dreamweaver Killer Tips session is down. Good news is, I have a new link for you and I'll see about getting my presentation updated. The link I'm refering to is to Tom Muck's Speedup Hints for Dreamweaver MX article which covers a variety of methods you can use to help speed up Dreamweaver. (Though it was originally written for Dreamweaver MX,...

MAX Community Pit

I just wanted to post a few words about the Community Pit at MAX. If you didn't stop by there you seriously missed out, especially if you didn't come by on Tuesday after the conference was done for the day. All you had to do was talk to one of the TMM's or MMUG managers to get a raffle ticket to win a cool bag. There were at least 20 given away and several t-shirts given out too. At the Community...
